Katlie's

Your Operations Guide 🐞

Everything you need to run your closet β€” with Ruby doing the heavy lifting.

Ruby
Hey Katlie! πŸ‘‹ This is your playbook. Your whole business runs from one app β€” your Business Hub β€” and your AI, Ruby, writes your captions, edits your videos, and even plans your thrift trips. You do the fun part; Ruby does the busywork. Here's how it all works.

1Your Business Hub

Open the app and swipe left/right (or tap the bottom icons) to move between your 7 screens:

🏠 DashboardπŸ›οΈ Storefront🐞 Plan My Thrift🎬 MediaπŸ“… CalendarπŸ“£ Social🧾 Books

Your Dashboard is home base β€” Ruby's morning brief, your stats, and what to post today. Start every day here.

2Your weekly rhythm

The whole point: you do ONE thing, Ruby does twenty. A normal week is about 15 minutes of "work."

  1. Film one "come thrift with me" video on your phone (like you already do).
  2. Drop it in Media β†’ Ruby's Studio. Ruby cleans it up and snaps the try-on photos.
  3. Tap each photo β†’ Add to Closet β†’ Ruby writes the listing + captions.
  4. Swipe through, approve, and Ruby schedules it all to post at your best times.
🐞
That's it. No hours of editing. Film it, drop it, approve it, done.

3Adding a find

The fastest way to list something new (from the ✚ button):

  1. Snap or upload a photo of the piece.
  2. Type a few words β€” "purple paisley sheer blouse" β€” and set a price.
  3. Tap the vibe tags that fit (boho, 70s, damask…).
  4. Pick your platforms (TikTok, Snap, IG, Pinterest are on by default).
  5. Hit 🐞 Ask Ruby to write it β€” she writes every caption in your voice.
  6. Save to Closet. It's now live on your storefront and ready to post.
🧡
Only tick Etsy for pieces that are truly vintage (20+ yrs) or that you've altered β€” that's Etsy's rule, and Ruby will flag it for you.

4The Video Studio

This is your time-saver. In Media Center:

  1. Upload (or import) your thrift/try-on video.
  2. Tap Ruby: clean up & snap the looks β€” she pulls the best photo of each outfit straight from the video.
  3. Add the ones you love to your Closet. Everything saves to your private Hidden Closet library for later.

5Plan My Thrift πŸ—ΊοΈ

Ruby maps thrift runs around your life β€” even soccer.

  1. Ask Ruby: "I have a game in Wilmington Saturday β€” what's nearby or on the way?"
  2. She shows thrift stores with hours, ratings, website + Google reviews.
  3. After you shop, do a Review from Ruby's front seat β€” rate the store, and Ruby makes a shareable card.
  4. Once you review a spot, its map pin turns into a 🐞 ladybug β€” your followers see the places you personally vetted.
🎬
Your signature video format: come thrift with me β†’ review from Ruby β†’ try-on haul. Same format every time = Ruby edits it faster, and your followers know what to expect.

6Managing your storefront

Tap any item in The Closet to open it. You can:

Available / Reserved / SoldChoose platforms✏️ Edit listingπŸ—‘ Delete

Fix a price, swap a photo, mark it sold β€” anytime. Edit re-opens the form; tweak it, Ask Ruby, and hit Update.

7Social β€” with Ruby πŸ“£

On the Social screen, tap between your platforms (TikTok Β· Snapchat Β· Instagram Β· Pinterest). For each, Ruby shows your best times to post and the trending hashtags to add, and queues your posts to drop automatically. You just approve.

8Calendar & Books

Your Calendar shows scheduled drops, soccer, and shipping β€” all in one place. Books tracks your sales, expenses (snap a receipt to log one), and profit. πŸ’œ The money side is set up under your mom Brittney β€” she handles the business/tax part, you handle the fun part.

The golden rules

🌸
One-of-one
Every piece is unique β€” say so. When it's gone, it's gone.
πŸ’Œ
Ship with love
A handwritten note turns a buyer into a repeat fan.
🐞
Stay you
Ruby writes in YOUR voice. Tweak anything that doesn't sound like you.
πŸ“Έ
Good photos win
Natural light, clean background. Ruby handles the rest.

⚠️ Staying safe

  • Never share your address, school, or full schedule publicly.
  • All money, payments, and shipping go through Brittney (your mom) β€” never handle bank info yourself.
  • If a buyer or message feels off, tell Brittney. Trust your gut.
  • Meet-ups (if ever): public place, daylight, with an adult.
You've got this 🐞

You're doing the thing you love and building something real. Ruby's got the busywork β€” go find the good stuff.
